Now these folks should definitely be arrested because this child suffered and died horribly under their care. I also have some questions
1. Were the parents not in communication with the child for over a month? because they said it was the "first time that we were made aware of the fact that she was suffering from chronic stomach pain for over a month" and they didn't find out until a year later.
2. Had no family member laid eyes on her for over a month?
3. After all the reports that came out about these "Troubled Teen industries." Why would you send your child to strangers. You don't know these people, they don't live near you, There is no real accountability or chance of intervention because they are isolated. There doesn't seem to be a policy of communication (because again "Over a month.")
As the years go by I have come to appreciate more and more that my parents wouldn't even let me go to someone else's house without at least a 24 hours notice, first name, last name, who their parents were, what do they do, and what part of the base they worked on. My parents, especially my mom was on that phone vetting you down. IF they let me go, it was after talking to the parents on the phone before hand and after they dropped me off (if it was outside of their eye sight) and they needed to lay eyes on me by a certain time, and if they needed to get me earlier, they were going to be at the door.
