My mom now has alcohol induced dementia. Her short term memory is crap and her cognitive function has decreased dramatically. She will never stop drinking and she will probably die this way. Alcoholism destroyed her and our relationship as well. My brother is on the same path. 😔

Yes and for the women too!

I was DX with PCOS in my early 20s in the 80s by a very brilliant doctor. Nobody knew what it was. What happens to PCOS after menopause? There is hardly any discussion about it.

Very profound statement

Yes, Paul Stamets please

@RitaPC Thank you. It's the most awful disease. It literally destroys everything.
4
Please do a podcast on hormone health for women please. Love your channel!

Hear hear. If he ever comes to my city I'm gonna see him.
4
I feel the same.
4
That's it. Beautifully stated. 🙏😞♥️

@rebelwilly2319 I'm so sorry. Try to get her to rehab. If you have siblings, do an intervention. I'm so sorry. It sucks loving someone with this disease. It's very hard. My mother is in denial and it's too late .The alcohol has done its damage to her brain and body.

Wish the estrogen discussion would have been longer. What does nmn do to estrogen or women's longevity?
3
Excellent point, yes we need another episode on this.

One of the best podcasts ever

Best content on YouTube by far. This Dr.'s stories were fascinating.
3
Indeed! We are fortunate to have him!🥰🙏♥️
3
Completely agree. Have no idea why he's relevant here.

Colin cancer runs in my family. My grandfather and Mom had it. Thery were NOT obese. I will stay away from red meat and it sucks when so called experts downplay the links.
3
This podcast is the best of YouTube. Thank you for this work. It is enriching our lives on so many levels.
3
I agree

For real

@rebelwilly2319 I'm so sorry to hear that. I think focusing on your own health is top priority. I can tell you that the stress and anguish of dealing with a family member with this disease, also harms our health as well.

Gotta wonder what pesticide use, chemicals and additives have done to our guts as well.
2
Same!

This was such a great episode. Always great to hear from Dr. Panda. Thanks for always bringing us the best and latest in science.
2
This is so true. It took me so long. I relapsed so often, but it finally stuck.

I have high LPa. What can I do to lower it?

Ditch the energy drink. Get a standing desk and treadmill perhaps?

I love that he loves Oliver Sachs. He was a pioneer. I loved his last book. Great loss.

Just got the inositol by Momentous that you talked about in previous podcast. So far, I've noticed I fall asleep faster. Yay.. Thanks for the recommendation! We are grateful for your channel.

Muscles need glucose so does the brain. My guess is that the brain is sugar depleted after an intense workout?
1
Probably THE best. Good for you ❤️

I often wake up with strong painful headache at top of my head that is quickly resolved with mucinex max pressure. Also barometric changes can bring it on. What kind of headache is this?

@Jdub1005 thanks

😲😀❤️👍

Context is definitely powerful.

Can you at some point talk about low dose lithium supplementation and why it helps so many people? Thanks doc. I loved this podcast. Our system is so complex. We don't always appreciate these delicate balances.
