  2. My mom now has alcohol induced dementia. Her short term memory is crap and her cognitive function has decreased dramatically. She will never stop drinking and she will probably die this way. Alcoholism destroyed her and our relationship as well. My brother is on the same path. 😔

  4.  @rebelwilly2319  I'm so sorry. Try to get her to rehab. If you have siblings, do an intervention. I'm so sorry. It sucks loving someone with this disease. It's very hard. My mother is in denial and it's too late .The alcohol has done its damage to her brain and body.

  5.  @rebelwilly2319  I'm so sorry to hear that. I think focusing on your own health is top priority. I can tell you that the stress and anguish of dealing with a family member with this disease, also harms our health as well.
