Pointless test really when you know the Megane RS Cup is faster than the Golf R, Audi S3, BMW 135i and 1M , and 2 seconds per lap only slower than the M3 E92 at the Nurburgring.

MrFaniaros Um....the current Golf 6 R has 270hp, current S3 has 280hp, BMW 1M has over 300hp, is RWD and is made for the track, yet, its 10 seconds per lap slower than Megane on Nurburgring, and on other tracks as well. Megane is 15 seconds per lap faster than the NEXT fastest FWD car or hatchback, which is...Megane R26.R, which is in turn 10 seconds faster again than the next, which is Focus RS500.

MrFaniaros I'm pretty sure Megane has better handling and drives better than ANY other hatchback. When was the Golf GTI chosen as best drivers car? Never. Look at EVO magazine tests. Top Gear, Fifth Gear, Autoexpress, any car testers, always choose Megane RS as the best, or Clio RS in segment below. When they choose best drivers cars of the year...you see Porches, Ferraris, Lambos, and then a Megane RS. Because it drives so good and is so much better in that than all other hot hatches it deserves to be next to supercars as the only "normal" car.

MrFaniaros Stupid once again. Nothing else to say. Why? Well, let me give you a hint. Last year, DEKRA, which is a German car association that deals with reliability of the cars, proclaimed the Megane III the most reliable car in the segment. And ADAC, other German car association also gave Megane III maximum ratings for reliability. Lets not even go into the fact that people who work on the Megane RS and other RS models build the best Formula 1 engines and drivetrains in the world, and basically dominate in F1 for the last 8 years, so building car engines, and sports cars in general is a joke to them. Unlike VW, which, you sure would know, as an expert you obviously are (lol), just pulled in 1,6 million cars for DSG failure, and lets not even go into the fact that all VW turbocharged TSI engines have horrible reliability issues. Facts.

MrFaniaros You really don't know what you're talking about if you think that Megane "was never going strong". Thats totally idiotic to say. Its like saying "Ferrari was never really going strong...". If you go to any track days, which I highly doubt, you will see a lot more Megane's than any other hatchbacks. Look at all the tests of them, all the reviewers say the Megane RS is the best drivers car in the hot hatch segment. Thats a fact. Go drive one and you will see.

MrFaniaros Just because rear end look more stable to you (whatever), doesn't mean it is. Golf starts understeering much sooner, thats why rear end doesn't step out. Megane doesn't understeer as much, but thats why it goes trough corners faster. Also, don't forget Golf has stability control that is ALWAYS on, in the Megane it was turned off, so ofc it can slide a bit if you make it. I've driven the Megane RS III, and owned the Megane II RS for 3 years, and trust me, Its NOT unstable. Its extremely planted and on normal roads you really have to go ape shit, you really have to go over the top to make it understeer or oversteer.
