Interior is not cheap at all. In fact, plastic used on most surfaces inside is the same as the one in new Golf and new A3, and actually there's more soft touch plastic around the cabin than in the current Passat. Everything apart from the glovebox cover is covered by it. But it doesnt look good in this beige color. It looks much better in black, this beige makes it look kinda bland because all the aluminium and chrome details are almost invisible.

That interior IS upmarket. Might not look like that on video, but when you see it in person, its really high quality, it feels better than current Passat. Rear suspension set up is good enough in entry level models. Why would you need a multilink in a 105hp diesel family car? Theres ABSOLUTELY NO benefit to it whatsoever in a car like this. Crappy base engines? I'm betting you never drove a 1.2 tsi with 105hp or the 1.6 tdi with 105 hp.

Mondeo? Its the shittiest and most plasticky feeling heap of junk in the class. I dont know what people see in that car. There's not a surface in that interior that doesn't feel cheap or doesn't squeak / feel like its going to fall off when you tug on it a bit.

Octavia. Jetta is a poor mans VW. Its not even a VW in my opinion. Doesn't deserve the badge, same as the american version of Passat. Big car, low quality. Feels cheaper than VW Polo.

That because you probably never drove the Insignia. Its not even in the same league as the Passat or Superb. Passat is a much better car in every single way. Insignia looks great, but you quickly find out its a low quality heap of junk. Its not nearly as refined, quiet or comfortable as the Passat, has no room in the back, low roof, poor visibility, interior build quality is horrible, boring to drive. Insignia is a car which gets worse in your eyes as you spend time with it. Passat is opposite.
