Your closing statement is very true. Trying to drive a rocket that's so sensitive that moving the throttle a quarter inch puts you into ridiculous wheel spin is no fun. Driveability is key. I never thought I'd ever say that until owning the E63 making just under 600 and the Jaguar at 500.

Oddly enough inside the manifold it honestly sounds like a 6-71 2 stroke detroit! (that's not a bad thing!)

@stazvanbael3706 it doesn't. There's no reason to either, because the throttle is closed, you're not demanding power, so it literally makes no difference. As noted below, the fuel that is in the air stream exaggerates the appearance or effect, because when the top end goes under vacuum, the air that is in there expands to fill the space. I'm sure you've seen the video of a marshmellow in a vacuum chamber.... same is true here, except it's the fuel that's vaporizing off under the vacuum so it really looks like it's flowing all over the place when all that's happening is the pressure is equalizing in the intake chamber. It would be interesting to see that same footage at 240 or 480 frames per second, or whatever that gopro will max out at.
