It was reported on January 25 that Bae Hyun-jin (배현진), a member of parliament of South Korea’s ruling National Power Party, was attacked on the street and sent to the hospital for treatment. According to Korean media, Bae Hyun-jin was hit on the head with a hard object and suffered bleeding from the back of her brain. Her life is not currently in danger. A man was arrested who said he was 15 years old. The incident occurred at around 5:20 pm local time on the 25th. Bae Hyun-jin was attacked by an unknown man on the streets of Sinsa-dong, Gangnam District, Seoul. Her team accepted an interview with Yonhap News Agency and said that someone asked "Are you Congressman Bae Hyun-jin?" , and then launched an attack after confirming Bae Hyun-jin (배현진) identity.
