mainland China may switch to "fair" “equal” trade , don't Give profit to TW any more. Taiwan’s trade surplus with mainland China is US$156.5 billion Mainland China is Taiwan's largest trading partner 38.8% of Taiwan's exports are to the mainland, and 20% of its imports are from mainland China. Mainland China is Taiwan’s largest source of surplus Taiwan has enjoyed a long-term trade surplus with the mainland, which has helped Taiwan's economic growth; without the surplus from mainland China, Taiwan's foreign trade would have turned into a deficit.

For Taiwan issue, you only need to know 3 key things: 1) For PRC, CCP and Chinese on Mainland, this is an unfinished Chinese Civil War. You can accurately predict their action based on That. 2) For PRC, CCP and Chinese on Mainland, Taiwan issue is behind the China competition with US and breaking US containment, unless DPP forces CCP's hand with formal declaration of Independency or equivalent actions like changing the Current Whole China Constitution to independence one. 3) US wants using Taiwan to contain or weaken PRC/CCP, but not a direct war with China. This is exactly the Ukraine situation.

Now, Taiwanese call this company ASMC already.
1
You are so wrong on ASMC not doing "chip design". If it go into "chip design" and overtake U$A , it will end up like Toshiba Semiconductor. -->Go and read how U$A "K" Toshiba Semiconductor right after it overtake U$A. in the 80's

Western setup Asia as "labour camp" , "labour camp" must stay as "labour camp" . NOT allow to develop..
1
@dmac7128 Just go ask the older people in the industrial , ASMC "allowed" to grow so big is because it agree NOT to enter "chip design" . Forever stay as "labour camp" to exploit HR in Asia. Forever making thin profit only. Then it will never become a threat.
1
@pxkqd Till now TSMC yet to receive the fund "B" promised for setting up factory in U$A. The main reason U$A will never able to compete in Chip manufacturing:..... All the country that do well in chip manufacturing , are Confucianism culture. For chip manufacturing, a high level of discipline is the key, and most Americans today don't possess it. They call it “forced labour" Taiwanese media reported on August 2 that TSMC claimed the production holdup at its Arizona facility was caused by a shortage of trained American labour and that they had sent staff from Taiwan to assist with the factory's development. Labour union officials in Arizona, on the other hand, criticised TSMC for exploiting this as a justification to bring in "low-wage foreign labour."

The US Foreign Policy to keep Asia poor and divided as stated in a top-secret U.S. Foreign Policy document written 76 years ago is still in force. February 24, 1948, Declassified U.S. Foreign Policy: Furthermore, we have about 50% of the world’s wealth but only 6.3% of its population. This disparity is particularly great as between ourselves and the peoples of Asia. In this situation, we cannot fail to be the object of envy and resentment. Our real task in the coming period is to devise a pattern of relationships which will permit us to maintain this position of disparity without positive detriment to our national security. ... that Japan and the Philippines will be found to be the corner-stones of such a Pacific security system and that if we can contrive to retain effective control over these areas there can be no serious threat to our security from the East within our time. Taiwan was added to the Pacific security system after Chiang's army retreated to the island of Taiwan in 1949. South Korea was added after the Korean War in 1953. The attempt with Vietnam, Laos, and Cambodia was abandoned in 1975.

In fact , China will change policy to benefit/attract Taiwanese and TW company. In the end , politic only and only about interest/money. right/wrong/moral/rights are just decoration/coverup.
