  3. Not sure where you're getting your facts but modern Islamism started in Egypt in 1928 by islamic scholar Hassan al-Banna with the formation of the Muslim Brotherhood. During WWII, the Brotherhood allied themselves with the Nazis and, after the defeat of Germany, were then supported by the OSS, which became the CIA.
