Agreed. Chrysler Corp was a disaster pretty much since day one. All one has to do is read it's history and it's a surprise it actually still exists in some form.

@markguadiana3645 No, Chrysler was NOT known for it's engineering. That shows you never actually looked at Chrysler's corporate history. It's subsidiaries (Dodge and Plymouth) were the ones who did ALL of the good engineering and Chrysler took it for their own purposes. Example: Plymouth was the first American car manufacture to develop a commercially successful mass produced automatic transmission for cars and Chrysler took the design from them and wouldn't allow Plymouth to use it's own transmission design in Plymouth cars for years.

@markguadiana3645 Plymouth was a separate division with it's own budget and profit expectations. Doesn't matter who created it. It was treated as a separate entity by Chrysler Corp headquarters. By the end of WWII, Chrysler brand engineering division was a complete joke and parasited off the work of Dodge and Plymouth engineers. That 'known' engineering wasn't Chrysler at all but Dodge and Plymouth. Each one had their own engineering departments.
