No house for YOU, in China.

Nothing prevents the workers from owning the means of production in a capitalist system other than the workers themselves not putting their money where their mouths are.

@aniksamiurrahman6365 " Do the workers have any control over the means of production? Any control over decision making?" The EXACT same things can be said about Soviet, Chinese, and North Korean communism. In capitalism, anyone can create their own company and control everything. Just because some are too lazy to do the hard work of starting one doesn't make the system bad. Current government regulated 'Capitalism' in the US is communism lite. Coming from someone who has spent the last 27 years building my own companies.

@davidparsons2391 "The United States had free labor for over one-hundred years." No it didn't. Slaves weren't free and there were costs to house and feed them. The labor from them might have been cheaper but it wasn't free.

@davidparsons2391 "Everyone pays up in the end. Everyone pays up in the end. I never asked you for a nickel" I guess I'm not part of everyone.... I shouldn't pay for shat. ALL of my ancestors were indentured servants when they came to America and never had anything to do with slavery but I don't whine about it.

@davidparsons2391 They got food and shelter and thus did get compensation. So yes, they did get 'paid'. Not in a way that was moral or ethical but you clowns seem to think that the labor was all FREE, you word, when it wasn't. Plenty of wealth was generated by indentured servants, which MANY Europeans were who came to America but you never hear a peep about them.

@davidparsons2391 Pointing out facts is not whining. A person in most US States does not actually own their property (real estate) which means you are a servant of the State. You were the one claiming free labor which is patently FALSE.

As far as I know, no private land ownership is allowed in China. All property is under long term leases from the State. In the US, it's a bit different with most States having property tax, thus you are renting the property from the State and also do not actually own the property. Don't pay the property tax and the State seizes it and auctions it off. Both systems are garbage.
