  2. @22:24 Dyer says something odd, to me. He says that UW was "not 'neccessarily' involved" in the third and subsequent pressuring testings. "Either UW was involved or was not involved. Which is it Mr Dyer?" would have been my follow up. Also "Mr Dyer, what specifically were the differences in engineering philosophies that caused the conflicts?"

The mannerisms of the NASA & (to a lesser extent) Boeing guys are just like the mannerisms of a guy who helped a completely drunk guy, who can hardly walk, by telling him where to find his car keys then instructed him how to unlock his car, put the keys in the ignition, start the car and put it in drive. Then when a fatal accident happens with said driver, he's all, "I just answered his questions" (and am in no way responsible for the accident).

  4.  @solareclipsetimer  I've worked as a residential builder and have run into this situation with General Contractors and other tradesmen on a project who are doing something unsound. If I see it, particularly if it is going to lead to an unsafe structure, I confront them immediately pointing out the deficiency and if they fail to rectify the issue, I make it publicly known in a not discrete manner. That is how you handle those situations, if you have any sort of moral backbone. Unless I missed some press releases pre-implosion, NASA, Boeing and UW all saw serious issues and just backed away instead of holding Rush's feet to the fire. If so, they knowingly allowed a nutter to kill four other people.

  5. All these people who now testify about their issues with Rush's decisions knew what he was going to use that sub for. If I was in their shoes, knowing that the sub was to be used to transport tourist, I would have told him to pound sand and not assisted him in murdering 3 people. If it was just Rush risking his own life, it's a completely different story. Rush and Nargeolet knew exactly what they were getting into, the other three were not entirely informed and naive.

  11.  @t0b0  He's not some random scientist. He is the rep for UW which had direct involvement in the design of OG's Titan even though it was just testing.
