It's actually Ian's other personality, who's right handed BTW.

Regarding the hog story of the revolver. If one hasn't been taught how to properly put a hog down with a firearm, they can be incredibly resilient. On a special deployment, a fireteam member, who was a city slicker, tried to put one down with an AK-47 so we'd have some meat. He emptied the mag into it's head and had to reload to actually kill it. The rest of us were laughing our arses off since he was freaking out that it wouldn't die.

@rileyyyyh He misrepresented WHY that portion of the video wasn't uploaded to YT claiming it couldn't be thus implying YT was responsible. I don't GAF if he decides to paywall content but don't be dishonest about the reason. That shows a lack of character.
9
@rileyyyyh No, he implied that YT would not allow him to have the video on the channel with the way he said why it would be elsewhere. That was not the case. He CAN upload it, just not make money on the video (potentially). He could have just as easily uploaded the shooting footage as a separate video as he's done in the past and others have pointed out. He should have simply stated that it would be uploaded to HoWaW and not tried to put all the blame on YT.

In my neck of the woods, every "leftist" very vocally supports the banning of ALL firearms for anyone other than the military or police. They also adamantly support "hate speech" laws.

@rileyyyyh It's not that it isn't free, it's the fact that he said that he CAN'T upload the full version to YT but the fact is he CHOSE to not upload it to YT.

@cernunnos8917 I can already tell you've never owned a Pinto. I owned four manual trans versions in my younger days ('75, '76, '78 & '80). Strip the emissions garbage off, a free flowing exhaust, rejet the carb then install a set of low profile 15" tires/rims and better quality shocks and it was a mean budget street econo racer. Never got around to transplanting a turbo 2.3L SVO engine/5 speed in one though. :(

Shame the Yeet Cannon was handicapped with the choice of shooter... 😜

I really enjoy the content but am somewhat disappointed when you aren't able to disassemble the firearm, understandably, to show how the internal mechanisms function.
2
Anyone else think that Ian's impersonation of Dillinger sounded more like what Dillinger's grandmother might have sounded like? 🤣
2
I've found the mechanical design books of the late 1800's to mid 1900's to be far more engaging and informative.
2
@avwillis5269 They could name it the APX Predator. 😉
2
The DD H9, aka High priced turd, from the range footage.
2
@swampcritterisbackbaby1740 It doesn't need to be. A simple two piece bolt/bolt carrier with one single slot in the bolt carrier as well as a slot and a notch in the receiver is all that's needed to make a straight pull bolt action.
2
It's also available through Barnes & Nobles and an Indi shop called Magers & Quinn Booksellers, in Minnesota, for about the same price. The latter if you don't like supporting one of Satan's minions.... 😜

Regarding the sight picture; it's somewhat surprising that they didn't fashion the hammer so that it was a bit thicker with a aperture sight in it to use the hammer as a rear sight.

It would be about $7. http://www.in2013dollars.com/ Interesting fact, from 1792 till 1912 the US dollar maintained it's value (purchasing power). Meaning $1 in 1792 = $1 in purchasing power in 1912, a period of 120 years. After the creation of the parasite called the Federal Reserve, the US dollar has increasingly became worth less, accelerating in loss of value since US President Nixon took the US dollar off the gold standard. In 2018, the US dollar only has 4.2% of the purchasing power it had in 1912. A 95.8% loss in value in 106 years!!!

Reed Oppenheimer is the money man behind the mayhem.

You can thank your UN compatriots as they actively smuggled weapons during the war despite the claimed embargo.
1
@MarvinCZ And the breech is forward of the trigger/trigger grip, thus it's NOT a bullpup by the definition. Per Rock Island "the firing action and magazine is located behind the trigger"
1
The parts were made and smuggled in from Israel via cargo ships docking in Adriatic ports and the guns were assembled in country. They didn't develop anything. This was during the war. I don't know about after.
1
@jamesconerly1039 The ones I saw, in hand in person, in country during the war did not use any cast parts period. What you're told today is not what was happening on the ground at the time.
1
How is this a bullpup when the breech is still forward of the trigger and firing grip?

As cool as that scene was in the movie and how slick Kilmer's mag change was, if you rewatch the scene and pay attention to where he was aiming, you can see he would have been shooting 4-6 ft over the heads of the uniformed officers.

Ian - You definitely notice the weight of the magazine of the .45 Sterling That seems like a feature. Sensory magazine round indicator. ;)

357 a hand cannon??? I think of it as more of a plinker myself, probably because it was the first handgun I fired when I was 12. My dad's Dan Wesson model 15 with the 8" barrel. The other, on that day, was my uncle's 12" barrelled Interarms Virginian Dragoon 44 mag. I enjoyed the 357, not so the 44.... I'd love to be able to shoot the Unica 6. Too bad Chiappa doesn't make their Rhino in 44 mag. Thanks for the rundown on the revolver.
1
One slight correction. The 8.6BLK bullet is 5 1/2 thousands of an inch smaller in diameter than the neck of a 308 Winchester. .338 vs. 3435 per SAAMI specs.
1
At it's current muzzle velocity, would this be considered less than lethal for crowd control?
1
@Cplblue You mean Gun Jesus and the Satanist had a falling out. No way.... /S 😉
1
Too bad they made it 'body positive'......
1
Wow, that thing looks like a collection of kludges.

I always thought the R on former Yugo firearms stood for Rock'n'Roll.... 😉

Very interesting to learn how Sam Colt viewed his workers. With regards to vision, work ethic and determination, it seems like Elon Musk is the Sam Colt of our day. The labor issues in the 1930's probably had a lot to do with Marxism which was spreading like the cancer that it is. There are a lot of Penn-Texas, and those who followed in ownership of Colt, out there today, most are called equity firms who, unfortunately, have the money to be the parasites that they are, much like Marxists.

@swampcritterisbackbaby1740 It's not complicated or complex and actually has less machining operations than a K98 bolt. They make tens of thousands of them every year at low cost and can be done on a simple lathe and a knee mill.
