  1. My 164k mile Yaris is now using 1 quart between oil changes. I switched to high mileage synthetic since it has extra additives that help with seals and such.

  2. I had a 98 Corolla, first engine (oil burner) died at 240k miles, I put in a used motor, that had just under 100k miles, it did not burn any oil for the first 3 yrs. After that it became even a bigger oil burner to the point where i had to add oil every day, so I just junked the car.
