  1. I bought a 2010 Yaris in 2016 with less than 100k miles for $4k it had bad paint, non working radio and a small leak in the roof. I fixed all except the paint and the mechanicals were in great condition. 80k miles later, it's still running well and if I spent money painting it, I could get $3k for in in today's market.

  2. Years ago, I got a hail damaged Chevy Prizm with some broken glass as well, low mileage for a steal. I had the glass replaced and left the hail damage, used it for a few years and sold it for the same price I pain 3 yrs later.
