Lord Spoda, you are a habit forming pastime for me and many others, thank you so much for all the hard work you put into doing these entertaining and informative videos.
25
Since the 70's we've been making everything in China, closing down factory afte factory in the US, what the heck did you expect was gonna happen? Turn it into a consumer society? Where are all these people gonna find gainful employment?
21
Minority percent high=crime rate high, given fact, no argument there.
14
Back in the 70's, many industries left the north for the south, looking for cheaper labor and taxes, when that wasn't working out, they moved abroad for even cheaper labor and costs. This is the result.
14
We've spent billions to re-build places like Iraq and Afghanistan and what about the homeland?
8
Poverty is no excuse for living in filth, it is caused by laziness, which is perhaps why they're poor to begin with.
7
Do you suppose a lot of the crime is being perpetrated by outsiders coming into town to do their dirty deeds?
7
Looking at these towns, I have to wonder if we really did win the cold war.
7
I realize that it is a naive thing to say, but it saddens me so many empty homes and so much homelessness in US cities. Something is just not working right.
7
Thanks for visiting the gravesite of one of my favorite performers.
7
We give away billions of our tax money to foreign countries when there are so many urgent needs stateside.
6
If you think this is bad, try, or don't try, Camden NJ. When 60 mins did a story from there a few yrs ago, the news crew had to have police escort as they went around filming and even the cops looked scared to be there.
5
Lord, do you ever get out of the car and talk to some of the locals? I don't get why Hollywood spends so much money on special affects to make doomsday movies and TV shows, when you got a real life apocalyptic looking towns like these. Not even need set dressings.
5
The state should consider giving this city to Georgia and building a wall around it.
4
Travel videos are a dime a dozen, well made and with excellent narration are your specialty.
4
Just gained 5 lbs watching you guys chow down that scrumptious food.
4
Meanwhile billions are sent to Ukraine.
4
If you get a chance, you should visit Marco Island on the Gulf coast and Siesta Key further north from there.
4
If you must live in any of these small towns, you'd better be packing and be very good at it.
3
When i read you were visiting Slab City I believed you were going to L.A. Since both have so much in common now.
3
If you live in any of these high crime towns, you'd better get yourself a weapon or two and be very good at using it.
3
This huge part of the America you show us with every video is simply ignored by the media. I believe it is not indicative of any political party or administration, it is simply the rotting away of the American heartland. yet we keep sending billions abroad, where are the representatives of these people?
3
Have you ever considered getting a folding e bike so you can explore more territory after you park your vehicle? I am sure any e bike company would be happy to supply you one, so you can get around more efficiently.
3
Don't understand why Putnam is so dead, there is an interstate exit right there and it could have roadside facilities. I noticed the exit sign fell off and no one has bothered to erect it.
3
I always believed that I could live just about anywhere in the USA as long as there is a Walmart within 1 hr of me. Problem is that during the winter, sometimes they close off secondary roads whenever you get a big snow event.
3
That area reminds me of So Beach, too freaking crowded, I actually drive 2 hrs extra to avoid going there, even tho I live close by.
3
I hope they didn't use river water to make that beer, otherwise Lord Spoda may turn into Lord Hulk.
3
Happy New Year to Lord and Lady Spoda.
3
Incomes and housing costs are so whacked in the Keys that I don't know how people can afford to live there. A lot of civil workers have to live further north and commute to work, cause they cannot afford to live where they work.
3
I vote for more Audrey in your future videos, a very nice and well educated young lady. You must be a very proud Papa.
3
Gloomy weather is perfect for showing these declining small towns.
3
Is that Woolworth still open as a Woolworth or do they just use the name?
3
You can devote a whole video just on Key West.
3
Keys have the pelicans, Miami's got the thugs.
3
I guess there is still plenty of land available there, otherwise all those abandoned homes would be torn down or rebuilt, as they are in So florida.
3
Welcome to our wonderful state, great to be visited by Royalty. This has been one of your very best videos. As they say, location is everything.
2
Did you see the Simpsons there?
2
Surprised that the woke left Commies haven't targeted that monument you showed us.
2
Did you notice the old geezers riding around on bicycles with ape bars, like the choppers? I am guessing those are old motorcycle riders who are now to old and feeble to ride actual Harleys.
2
Bronco? Maybe Ford can make you a Zombie apocalypse version.
2
Left Jersey in '89 and never looked back
2
@jerrycummings2821 Yes, that plus police presence, imagine having a hear attack and the nearest hospital is one hour away, and questionable rescue service, your chance of surviving is minimal
2
@sharonatl As much as I want to blame Brandon, this problem goes back decades. We always have something better to waste our money on. Vietnam, moon trip, and the list goes on and on.
2
Maybe you can borrow Brandon's armored "Beast" to visit some of these high crime towns.
2
Key West has the prettiest road kill in the whole country.
2
@Andrew2k18 That's the avg price, that includes the trailers that people move into. But some of those nice homes go for a million and more.
2
Lord Spoda, who is your favorite actor who played Superman? There should be no crime there since Superman is always watching the town.
2
Would you consider any of these places a good place to retire? The housing is so affordable. How about the cost of other stuff, like food?
2
I would have guessed this was a Hilton if you hadn't mentioned the name.
2
Cash owned Hurt, plain and simple.
