When I see the word volute, I automatically associate it with CONVOLUTED.

More like Mach-E: Mexico.
10
you still need to lubricate hinges and such.

As the previous owner of a 1998 Corolla, "That's nothing, man!"

This is the first car I've owned with electric steering, this is the first time I've had no issues with leaking hydraulic hoses or replacing steering racks due to rotten hoses. Also the wheel will react to quick inputs a lot faster than hydraulic systems.
4
Trade them both, you'll be happier.

There used to be a product called Motor Honey that claimed to bring dead engines back to life.
3
@phillyphil1513 Also the hydraulic system is always working, while the electric motor only works when you turn the wheel. And the critics that say that the steering feels numb is BS, I drove a Scion FRS and the steering was super precise and quick to react.
3
I would not trust this wire system any more than Tesla's self driving fantasy app.
3
You should do a video on whether electric power steering is any good.

When the Chinese come here with affordable EV's. all these US brands are gonna be caught with their pants down, again.

For a toy, weekend car, manual, for everyday driving, a traditional automatic. No DCT and certainly no CVT
2
That RAV4 Prime is non existent anywhere near me, the closest dealer that has one is like a thousand miles away and it has no listed price. They must be charging up the wahoo for these things

Hate any car with start/stop technology.
1
If Tesla comes out with a $25k EV, I will buy one.
1
There will still be people who want more power, those who do miss the whole point of what this car is all about
1
I think big wheels are bad in just about every car, it's just for looks, that's all.
1
True, cause it won't last too long LOL!

Good luck with this Mexican made turdmobile

I don't trust anything GM does.

Toyota only carries 0 W 20 and my yaris calls for 5W30 . Too thin for the ultra hot So Fla weather, so I won't take it there anymore. even though I get coupons which make it cheaper than other places. And the service adviser said it was fine for my car.

VW America can't get anything right. When Tesla introduces their own version of this size vehicle, they're gonna kill it.
1
It's simple, EV good for everyday around town, driving going on a trip, rent an ICE vehicle. Problem solved.
1
And we don't get the Yaris here, thanks Toyota.

Engineering explained is now an outlaw, something about wearing the hat backwards.

#6 Invest in one of them.
1
@mrwhips3623 Not with the volume of traffic I have to deal with and not at my advanced age.
1
A few local stations have what they call "economy regular" gas, 85 or 86 octane. And this is not a high elevation area at all.
1
The Toyota Scout is gonna eat this for lunch

I have had to take in the Tesla for service more times than my last 4 cars put together. Shoddy manufacturing. Rattles in both front doors, air leaks in windows and even the windshield. failure to charge battery a couple of times.
1
For normal, everyday cars, just getting better tires will improve handling, ride and NVH much more than expensive suspension work.
1
i rented a new Dodge recently, using the touch screen was very dangerous, i avoided it completely, most drivers don't

When the Chinese come in with more affordable, lower range EV's, for city driving then EV sales will shoot up. If you go on a long trip, just rent a regular one. I was invited to drive on a 1300 mile trip by someone in a Tesla and I turned it down.
