I'm American and a big fan of the history of the nation's founding, and this is the first time I've ever seen all this information laid out in a way that's easy to understand. A lot of history texts do not explain how elections were run in those days and it's confusing to say the least. I knew about the problem with choosing a vice president, for example, but I just assumed that the problem was that the VP would almost always be in opposition to the president, as in the case of President John Adams (Federalist) and Vice President Thomas Jefferson (Democratic Republican), where the two men were bitter enemies at cross purposes the entire term. But I didn't know about the problem with it as you lay out here. I also didn't know how the electors were chosen in the various states, which you show here. Great video.

Also, there are still Americans today who feel the Constitutional convention was a fraud and a betrayal of the revolution. Most of these people are hardcore libertarian history nerds, some are even maybe a bit nuts, but the idea is still out there.
