  1. 8:50 I think the equation you're looking for is kinetic energy KE = 0.5 mv^2. The energy of a projectile increases linearly with mass, but with the square of velocity. That's why a small caliber rifle bullet can do more damage than a heavier, slower pistol bullet, since rifles tend to have much higher muzzle velocities.
