  1. Side note, a tone that sounds like it is continuously rising or falling but never goes out of audible range is known as a "Shepard Tone" and is commonly used for effect in horror movies or action films. I suppose that tones phasing in and out of each other can produce the illusion of a Shepard tone and that's it's a byproduct of these digital signals, but of course I'm just guessing and don't really know what I'm talking about.

  3. I picked up a Cuban numbers broadcast a while back while randomly scrolling the SW tuner from near Harrisburg, PA. The regime is still active on the airwaves.
