  1. It's the same story in other communication and navigation infrastructure as well. Shutting down radio nav aids leaves no redundancy in event of GPS system failure, and trying to shut down various radio bands leaves no redundancy for mass communication in event of Internet failure. Plus what you watch or listen to on the Internet can be monitored, unlike radio, and using GPS for navigation on devices connected to the Internet is also an easy way to track you. People increasingly don't own radios with multiple bands and also seem to have forgotten how to read a simple roadmap.
