They are so ugly the Earth repulses them. (Actually I think some of them are pretty)

The B-2 is not a Lockheed Martin product, it was built by Northrop prior to the Northrup Grumman merger. Maybe Nebula should tell you that.

+RiaRadioFMHD773 Time is an abstract concept, so in a sense, humans did invent it. I think that's what he's getting at.

One good thing about living on Mars is the day being 40 minutes longer. I always wish my days were just a little longer. A Martian sol is so close to an Earth day that you'd sleep at night and wake up in the morning and it would feel normal. On the Moon, one lunar day is 28 Earth days long, so it would be dark for 14 days and daylight for 14 days, which would make sleeping more difficult but at least you would just set your clock to GMT on Earth.

So even if the bomb never goes off, you will still starve to death in that box, right? Or does the existence of "bomb immunity" also imply that nothing else can kill you either?

You could always bring back zeppelins and try to find a solution to the vertical wind problems that stopped service to the Empire State Building's roof. I'm having trouble seeing Uber's "skyport" system working. For starters, the vehicles would still be expensive and they'd have to be pretty small, a lot smaller than a V-22, which has a large ground footprint. Then there is the problem of having aircraft flying around an urban area, possibly near skyscrapers. Besides the obvious collision and crash risk, they will be noisy, even if they are electric (which has range problems of its own). Best of luck to them, though.

Never mind all the political BS, I've taken many long-distance rides on Amtrak and even when it's way behind schedule it's almost always a fun ride. And I want to complement any Amtrak employees reading this: you all have always been extremely polite, professional, and helpful. The difference between how Amtrak treats me and how airlines treat me is pretty stark. Amtrak treats passengers the way airlines used to treat us before 9/11, not like inconvenient potential criminals, but like actual humans who paid for a ticket. That goes a long way in my book. I've had station agents help me out when I lost a ticket once, and another time they suggested I change my booking to save some time without me even asking. The porters and car attendants were always good guys, and the wait staff in the dining car are always great. Everyone from the conductor on down seems to be proud of being railroaders, too, which is cool.
