The speed at which you go from healthy to dead can be fast at any age.

Back in the 1990s John Dupont, heir to the Dupont family fortune, murdered an Olympic wrestler on his estate in Delaware. He was known to support the sport of wrestling, among others, and frequently had wrestlers as guests, I think he had a gym on the property. Turned out the guy was going crazy; he used to have a de-mil'd Sherman tank that he would drive around his mansion grounds and knock over small trees and stuff with it. He died in prison in 2010.

@BobbyIronsights "Died suddenly" implies that the person was healthy right up to the last day and suddenly has a heart attack or something, as opposed to having a long period of health problems or a slow lingering illness.

@machinethinking Awesome! If you manage to get Tim Hunkin in a video you'd be a hero to us all. I've been binging Secret Life of Machines videos the last few days and wondering what ever happened to Tim and Rex. Used to watch that show on US cable TV in the 90s with my dad.

@tomnewsom9124 Ah that sucks, RIP Rex, you crazy dude.

@machinethinking For you and your viewers, Tim Hunkin has a youtube account, and he's been active recently. Worth looking up.

@jimselander1357 I don't need to be a chef to know my dinner tastes bad.
1
@jimselander1357 Maybe not, but apparently for you it's hard to understand an analogy and not miss the point.

Couple of years ago I was in Vermont and visited the American Precision Museum in Windsor. It was okay, there were some cool old machines there and so on, but it could've been better. If they had had material like what you've got in your vids it would've made it a better experience. You should contact them or other museums and see about collaborating with them somehow.

14:43 isn't that guy compromising the gauge blocks by handling them with his greasy fingers?

Look it up. It's on Wikipedia and there are old news articles. I was living in the general area at the time and it was also the news in Philadelphia and Wilmington, a big scandal.

1:25 is the guy on the right the actor who plays the Congressman in The Manchurian Candidate?

@cmdraftbrn He's not dead, he's just resting.
