@juanausensi499 There is a story of a saint who, while sailing across the Atlantic, saw an island. Having climbed onto the island he started a fire only to have the island swim away. It looks like he mistook a whale for an island. I am not sure what he was the saint of but short-sightedness would be a good start.

It is thought that one of the reasons the Neanderthals died out was because after the end of the last ice age they could not get the same amount of calories as before. They were ambush hunter, as shown be the fact they were only capable of short powerful sprints. But after the last ice age the land was more open until the forests moved north, which meant they had difficulty getting within striking range of their prey. Our ancestor used lighter throwing spear along with the spear thrower which meant they could hit their prey animals from a distance. Another thing with the Neanderthals was they tended to be in smaller groups with much less contact between them, unlike our ancestors. This meant that there was little chance of new ideas being passed between the groups, again unlike our ancestors. So the tools they used did not change over time. In fact it was not until they had contact with our ancestors that their tools finally changed.

There is a recent article that mentioned the discovery of a fossilised dinosaur leg, not the bones but the actual leg. Apparently it had been burnt during the blast which tore the dinosaur apart.
