Suggesting Sunak is desperate is is one of the biggest underestimates in British politics. He has absolutely no idea what to do but meanwhile it is one blunder after another. What he is doing is what John Major did in that he is hanging on for as long as possible in the deluded hope that something will turn up. While at the same time the people have had enough of him and want him to go.

@paultaylor7082 The 'Mr Micawber strategy.' That's very good. Brought a smile to my face. Thankyou. I read an article a day or two ago about a survey of each constituency asking who they thought would make the best Prime Minister and Sunak only came first in four of them. None of those four were his own. In fact he came third to the I don't knows and Keir Starmer in his own constituency.
