  1. On the 10th anniversary of the battle my late father, being in the Royal Artillery, was present when the British Army restaged the artillery barrage from the start of the battle. Though they only had half the number of guns my father said it was still very impressive.

  2. As you will probably know the dummy tanks and trucks were only a small part of the deception. That is a story in itself.

  3.  @Kalaswalia  many of them were still in service from WW2. Also the UK still had national service back then so getting the man power was not a problem
