We've all heard of something being a bullet magnet, but, with the possible exception of Admiral Halsey, you don't usually get a storm magnet.

@hernerweisenberg7052 That was my reference to Halsey, Herner. I think he went through two Typhoons. The British warships were better at seakeeping then many of their US counterparts. The Royal Navy having to deal with the North Atlantic. There was a storm on night in the Pacific which the Royal Navy and the US Navy fleets sailed through together. In there morning the US Navy asked the Royal Navy how they had faired with the storm. The reply was what storm.

@stamfordly6463 That is entirely possible. As we know Bismarck was fitted with turtle back armoire which was well out of date by then. Which would suggest their skills were lacking

 @empath69 True, Jaded. My remark was aimed at the fact that they were so often in that unfortunate position. Something, as we know, the North Atlantic specialises in.
