A couple of years ago a large department store chain went out of business. One of their stores was bought and is due to be demolished with the exception of a giant frieze at the front of the store which was going to be part of the new building which was to replace it, The problem is that not only does the building contain asbestos, which means it has been sealed off, but so does the frieze. So the local landmark will now be removed as well as the building.
