  1. Same here. I have a copy of that film. Interestingly Akira Kurosawa had studied John Ford and his westerns while Ford came to be an admirer of Kurosawa's work. As with Ford Kurosawa had his group of actors he relied on. Some said Toshiro Mafuni was Kurosawa's John Wayne while Takashi Shimura was Kurosawa's Ward Bond. But I have to say I think Kurosawa had the better actors.

  2. May be we should spend more time looking at what makes us the same, that way there could be less conflict in the world.
