Another great video. Having read something of airships I have to say I am not sure why anyone thought they were a good idea. Once caught in bad weather they could be tossed all around the sky, as described in this video, and as was seen they were just to fragile to survive such weather. Interesting that you mentioned the R38. The anniversary of its crash was less then two weeks ago. The airship crashed just off Victoria Pier which was then used by the Humber Ferry. Though the ferry is now long gone the pier is still there and is only a few minutes away from where I live. My late father knew one of the people who went out to help with the rescue.
