Well although he did not get to see it he did eventually provide for his family. Thanks for the video. It is interesting how often the pioneers are not the ones to benefit from their discoveries. During the DotCom boom I remember reading about a US business were you could order your grocers online and they would deliver them to you. They even had software developed especially for their business. It failed because at that time no one was interested in ordering their groceries online. Now all the major supermarkets do just that. Even Amazon are now doing it.

@arachnonixon I was the same. Now I use one of those hand scanners, so much easier. Plus I rarely have to wait. In fact just once in over a year.

@Vanilla0729 Actually here in the UK online is a much bigger thing. Some of the supermarkets were a bit slow and suffered for it. Online has hit the big department stores here as well. We've lost one of the big ones a year or two back and others are closing stores to reduce cost. At the same time online sales are growing. I'm just in the process of starting a business which will help sall businesses get online so they can take advantage of online business.

Nobody Knows As I mentioned to Dan the UK has taken to online more than most countries. Problem here is more the opposite in that many of the big department stores are finding online sales are effecting their stores.
