Actually hens do have teeth, or at least one tooth. When a chick is hatching it has one tooth at the front of the top beak which uses to help break the shell. After it is born the tooth is soon lost so its rarity may be to do with the fact that its existence is only brief. This does mean that rocking horse droppings are rarer. As a food source one of the big advantages of chicken is that it readily absorbs flavours from herbs and spices. You can see this by the number of countries which eat spicy chicken. Why did the chicken cross the road? For some fowl reason. 😊👍
