  1. Interestingly though some British police forces have stopped using the custodian hat many still have it. And if you get into a vehicle you just remove it. I forgot to mention that the shape of the British Battle Bowler goes all the way back to the Medieval period as many infantry used something similar. Many archers at Agincourt wore it.
