  3.  @jwilsonhandmadeknives2760  As we both know this was standard for all such submarines no matter whose navy. Plus it is not like the rescuers would have got onboard and had a good look around. They would want to get everyone off as quickly as possible. It was more a case of the old Soviet rules applying of denying anything is wrong and if there was we can deal with it. I can understand it can be a point of pride but as they say 'pride comes before a fall.'
