  1. Me too. I remember my late father dragging me out of bed to watch Neil Armstrong step onto the moon. History worth remembering, if somewhat bleary eyed.

  2. Actually we now know that Americas did clash with Russians during the Cold War over North Korea as some of the Migs were flown by Russians. Interesting that the US pilots so often got the better of these encounters. As many Russian pilots were veterans of WW2 it tells you a lot about what they learned and how good, or not, the Germans they had faced were.
