  1. The Indian troops were second to none. Not just in this battle but elsewhere. They fought with great valour in North Africa as well, often winning battles which no one else thought winnable. Many Allied troops had no sympathy for the Japanese, especially after they murdered patients and medical staff when they took the hospital. Not the first time such a crime had been committed by them.
