  1. Back in the 80s a USN F14 Tomcat was taking part in an exercise in Europe when it came across an A10 which was an opposition aircraft. So the Tomcat pilot though 'oh good, an easy kill' and went down after the A10. Only to find the A10 stand on its wing, turned and coming straight for the Tomcat. At this point he decide discretion was the better part of valour and got the hell out of there. Tomcats did seem to have a problem with ground attack aircraft. In another exercise in Europe two Tomcats came across two British Royal Air Force Sepecat Jaguars below them and one decided to go down for an easy kill, only to be jumped by two more Jaguars following behind. Seeing his friend in trouble the second Tomcat went in to help only for him in turn to be jumped by two more Jaguars. Jaguars 2 Tomcats 0
