  1. The people who made this gun would notionally have made gun for the Royal Navy and they would have taken at least a year to make. In fact other similar guns used in France in WW1 were all naval guns which would have been used on the navy's battleships. The last gun used by the British Army in WW1 was called Sceneshifter. I am sure you can guess why.
