Not only was it a false flag it was totally amateurish.

If Russia is unhappy about this all they have to do is go home.

Germany seems to have decided that not upsetting Russia is more important than doing the right thing by Ukraine. This despite Russia showing itself to be not even a shadow of its former Soviet self. They also appear to have decided that not upsetting Russia is more important selling its tanks because who would want to buy them now. You would think that the mess they got themselves into over Russian gas would have taught them something about dealing with Russia, but apparently not.

For some time now Russia has had a problem with declining population. Losing hundreds of men in combat and people leaving Russia, many of whom will not return, has just accelerated that problem.
197
The Chechens fighting for Ukraine are much better fighters than those fighting for Russia. Those Chechens seem to be anywhere the fighting isn't
185
Poor old Putin is sat in the Kremlin watching footage of Biden in Kyiv thinking that should have been me.
163
Considering how much men and equipment Russia has lost it, and its inability to replacements either, is hard to see how Russia could win a war of attrition.
125
This is why you never let an accountant run a business.
113
If you look at Russian forces little is hidden from the Ukrainians. We see drones flying over Russian armoured vehicles and there has been no attempt to camouflage them. Tracks on the ground so that you can follow to where they are. And the training of the Russians leaves much to be desired.
92
If things go terribly wrong for Putin? Oh, I think we have passed that point a long time ago,
92
Those missiles used in Crimea were British Storm Shadows
84
Someone said she is intelligent. I believe that person should be receiving treatment.
83
How long should the period of silence be for Johnson and Truss. How about permanently.
71
We could all see that what was happening in Belorussia with the combined Belorussian Russian manoeuvres was to draw off Ukrainian forces from the south to weaken them for the southern offensive. But Ukraine had the help of NATO's intel and could see what was happening and did not fall for it. Apparently the only help Putin got from Belorussia was some 140 Belarusian tanks. Which, at the rate Russia is losing them will last about two weeks
60
Interestingly Putin's ex boss said that Putin was nothing more that a middle management interpreter and that but for the fall of the Soviet Union that's all he would ever have been.
55
He sends in thousands of untrained men who get mowed down and having wasted all of their lives he says it's not his fault. Well he's the one in charge so yes it s his fault.
54
Russia is trying to do to Ukraine what Ukraine did to them. Russians may have been idiotic enough to fall for what Ukraine did to them but the idea that Ukraine will fall for what Russia is doing is laughable.
51
Considering the poor state of the Russian economy is part of the problem that Russia has not been able to train up their troops to a high enough degree to fight this war.
51
As I understand it the Storm Shadow's Ukraine is using is an older model which was due to be decommissioned by the British. Giving them to Ukraine not only helps them but has saved Britain the cost of decommissioning the missile. I believe that counts as a Win-Win for Ukraine and Britain
50
If his nuclear missiles are up to the same standards as the rest of his armed forces how big a threat is this. Remember is cost billions to maintain these weapons and the Russian military does find ways of spending that money on other things.
49
If his analysis of the upcoming of these by-elections is as good as his abilities on brexit they are in for a massive, and well deserved, kicking.
46
For a country where security is paramount you would think the Russians would make sure these soldiers did not have their phones with them.
44
All things considered an economic boycott would hit China worse than it would Taiwan. China is heavily reliant on Taiwanese chips as its own efforts to produce them has been a disaster and subject to fraud. Without Taiwan chips the Chinese economy would suffer very badly and China has enough problems with its economy without adding to them.
43
The fact that Putin has had to make up with Prigozhin shows just how weak he is.
43
Should the Torys be limited to how much money the get from Russian oligarchs
42
Ukraine is attacking Russia? I thought that was Wagner's job.
41
Christianity is in decline in the US and this is desperation on their part.
40
I was surprised with the idea of a surface to air missile as this would be obvious and would limit what Putin could say about what happened.
40
Stringing it out as long as possible was what John Major did and that just made it worse because people had had enough of them and wanted them out.
40
Blaming the civil service for the incompetence of this government is just dodging the truth that his party was never up to the job.
38
Sunak going to a beer festival. But he does not drink alcohol.
38
Five GRU operatives were caught in the Netherland's in 2018. One of the operatives actually had on him a taxis receipt from his home to the GRU headquarters in Moscow.
36
It's hard to see him winning when his popularity amongst non-MAGE voters has gone down.
33
This, apparently, is the might of the Russian Pacific Fleet.
31
What is forgotten is that Putin's part in the KGB was not as some secret agent but as an interpreter. And he was station in East Germany. So, not the Soviet answer to James Bond. Or even a Bond super villain.
29
Seeing how Ukraine has wrong footed so many commentators the notion that Ukraine would slow down for winter was yet another example of them getting it wrong. Russia is on the run so what Ukraine needs to do is keep up the pressure and not give Putin time to catch his breath and divide the west.
29
It's like they get so dazzled by the thought of being Prime Minister that they give no thought as to what's involved and even less thought as to whether they are up to it.
28
Well, it's not like Sunak is sending his kids to a state school.
27
@Macedonia270 You've got to stop drinking Putin's coolaid. That stuff rots your brain.
27
It will be Boris and Bust. He has too much baggage and we have all seen it. Let's not forget he was partying during lockdown and while the Queen was mourning the death of her husband. Then he stood up in parliament and denied the parties happened.
27
I think we should remember that D-Day was talked about for so long. Yet it succeeded
25
This man was useless as a minister and he has not got any better
25
They take literary criticism seriously in Russia.
24
When the HMRC tells you they don't fine people for simple mistakes. So on that basis alone he should be fired.
24
Not just Belarus but all the other parts of the Russian Federation who are only held in check by the Russian military.
23
You get the feeling Putin is going to be very very jealous of Zelensky
23
As she has a reputation for doing such things and is known to be totally opposed to what Hancock did during covid with lockdown. So it make you wonder why Hancock thought she could be trusted. And as a freelancer for News UK she also stiffed Rupert Murdoch by going to the Telegraph.
22
Prigozhin is paying the price for bragging about his troops compared to the Russian army, doing so knowing how much he relied on that army for supplies. He thought Putin could push the army into supporting him but the army thought otherwise.
22
50 schools. What about the hundreds of others. He was told some 300 to 400 schools needed rebuilding. He gave funding for 100 schools then cut it to 50. As chancellor he cut the school rebuild funding from £765 million to £416 million. A 45% cut. but as this will not affect his kids.
22
Typical of this government. Too little too late.
