There was that clash between two of these countries during a televised meeting while Putin was there. In the past we'd have heard little about it and then not for years. But we all saw the video. I also wonder how much of Russia will survive. Most of the population is in the west but the resources are in the east.

Interesting how time and again it is Europe who are leading and the US who are dragging their feet. Europe wanted to send tanks but the US dragged their feet. Then the UK said well we'll send Challenger tanks and suddenly there are Abram tanks being sent. Europe wanted to send F-16s and now the US say they will send F-16s. As the US would say 'America has got to get with the program.'

@admincpt True. But an American report has stated that the Ukrainian pilots would need only 4 months to learn to fly the F-16.

@davincidreams832 True. But why train the Ukrainian pilots unless you intend to give Ukraine the jets.

@Animalignis True but many of them already have combat experience. And they have experience using modern western weapons such Storm Shadow. And even the American trainers were impressed by the Ukrainian pilots abilities. At the moment they need aircraft with more capability than their old MiGs and the F-16 will give them that.
