  1. Interesting idea and I can see your logic here. But all they need to do is refloat the ship, move it into a drydock and the port is back working. Probably no more that a couple of weeks to move it out of the way as a guess. Whereas if you sink the ship in deeper water it is gone. And as they are struggling to get ships as it is its loose would have a greater impact.

  2. Putin is his own worst enemy. He attacks Ukrainian grain thinking they will now have to buy from him and not for one moment thinking he's just making it harder for himself because the cost of shipping has just gone up and no one wants to trade with him. Especially as no one wants Russian grain anyway. Even for free.
