  1. Germany seems to have decided that not upsetting Russia is more important than doing the right thing by Ukraine. This despite Russia showing itself to be not even a shadow of its former Soviet self. They also appear to have decided that not upsetting Russia is more important selling its tanks because who would want to buy them now. You would think that the mess they got themselves into over Russian gas would have taught them something about dealing with Russia, but apparently not.
