  1. If they are going to interview someone they should at the very least have an interviewer who knows the subject and what questions to ask. That way they do not look foolish when they open their mouths.

  2. I would have been surprised if NATO personnel were not in Ukraine. There will, of course, be those guarding their countries embassy but there will be some giving training on any new weapons sent to Ukraine. And there are NATO troops who specialise in winter warfare which would be very useful to Ukraine. Also it looks like the Ukrainians are operating behind Russian lines and there are NATO forces which specialise in performing such tasks.
