  1. Somewhat ironically Russia has been withdrawing troops from the various republics because of the need to replace those lost in Ukraine. Much to the pleasure of the local population who cheered the Russians leaving. Apparently there is a report based on a couple of Ukrainian pilots who flow F-16 simulators in the US which surprised the instructors as to how well they did. The report states that they thought the Ukrainian pilots would only need four months training to complete the conversion.
