  1. Not long after the Chechens arrived there were there was clashes between Russians and Chechens. Apparently the Chechens refused to fight, they only fight unarmed civilians it seems, so they were put behind Russian troops to stop the Russians moving to the rear. This then caused the Russian troops to attack the Chechens resulting with many of them being killed or wounded.
