  1. There was a British artist who hired a photographer to take some photographs for her and then she tried claimed copyright over the photographs. The photographer sued her for breach of copyright and won. She failed to get the photographer to sign over the copyright before taking the photographs.

  3. Despite what many people think duelling is not and never was legal and it could lead to being prosecuted for murder. As some people found out Also as the United States of America has no monarch then it also means it has no realm to be the guardian of. Though I am now curious as to what his costume would have looked like. Also if you cannot go to a Hemmingway look-a-like competition then what is the world coming to.

  6. I knew about the guy stealing gas from a cop car. I came across another video at the same time about someone who was stopped by the police in America while he was driving. He thought it was a routine traffic stop until the policeman told him to get out of the car and immediately arrested him. Turns out the man, who was from another state, was not long put of prison and he had decided to jump parole and posted about it on Facebook. When he didn't turn up to see his parole officer the officer checked the mans Facebook page and there he was telling everyone what he was doing and where he was. Which was how he was arrested. I am not sure but I think he may have gotten his old cell back. Two British stories for you where those taking part went a whole twenty minutes before being arrested. One, a bank robbery where the getaway driver used his own car. Another where a man stole a TV and was quickly arrested. This one is old school because he did the burglary at night when it was snowing and he was tracked by his foot prints in the snow.

  9. FYI yes Britain did not hold an election at that the beginning of WW2 but they did have a unity government which was made up of people from different political parties. So though Churchill was Prime Minister the leader of the Labour Party, Clement Attlee, was Deputy Prime Minister. In fact much of the day-to-day running of the government was done by Attlee.
