  1. During the Cold War Russian pilots would claim that they were having problems with ice so would use the deicer. Once they landed they would bleed off the deicer, alcohol, they had supposedly used to during the flight and that night they would have a party. Soviet troops would drink antifreeze. The lucky one did not lose their eyesight.
