Just watched a video of a Russian tank driver captured in Ukraine. Looks like his training was minimal, just a couple of week, before getting shipped to Ukraine. One of the problems was that several of the training vehicles broke down which left them with just two for them to train on. This meant he was getting enough time to do the basics but that was it. Then they were off to Ukraine. Something else which was interesting was that he was only on a three month contract. Which means he was never going to get the five months training the west would get. Anyway, he is now a POW of Ukraine. Which is probably the best thing that has happened to him for some time.
