@jakehilderbrand6890 NATO is not going to escalate. NATO is a defensive force. Anyway the average NATO pilot flies about twice as many hours per year as the average Russian pilot. Which means even the best Russian pilots would not last long against NATO pilots. Also the fact that Russia totally failed to destroy the Ukrainian air defence, the penalty for having poorly trained pilots, is the real reason they are hiding in Russia.

@RobinPhillips1957 That is common to large parts of the Russian military. Which is why their arms sales have plummeted. And that, in turn, has stopped Russia to use the funds for newer equipment.
