  2. Dumb move. "Institutions" also brought us a sub-prime mortgage crisis which blew up trillions of dollars of people's savings and they got away with it too. You shouldn't appeal to their authority. Just because they bought Bitcoin, doesn't mean they see it as a valuable asset in the future, just a valuable asset to hold until they bail out in 12 months time because other suckers are also buying it ... because the institutions bought it because people are talking about it. Don't be duped, Bitcoin is only backed by one thing, that is, the network in which it runs.
